Reporting to the Executive VP of Marketing at purePASSIONATE, the SEO/SEM Manager is a senior key member of the Marketing Team responsible for driving websites traffic, maximizing the lead-conversion rates and liaising in order to reach and exceed set objectives. Moreover, as a marketing specialist, they will be required to manage website content, blogs and to successfully work closely with internal departments to complete assigned projects. The ultimate measure of performance will be the ability to successfully generate a significant volume of conversions and create/grow lists for all the sites under their responsibility.
Responsibilities:
• On a daily basis, plan, develop, implement and monitor strategy to drive traffic to the website(s) and reach the traffic, rankings, lead-generation and lead-conversion objectives
• Research, test and analyze keywords, title and description copy for SEO-optimization
• Use different tools to assist SEO including but not limited to: all Google tools (keyword, search trends, webmaster tools etc.)
• Analyze website data, search and lead-conversion patterns and make recommendations to achieve objectives
• Monitor and report on activities completed each day/week and communicate findings and suggested solutions to clients and colleagues
• Perform ongoing SEO research and development and work closely with colleagues to test different search engine marketing and web site design ideas to improve search engine optimization for clients' sites
• Perform competitive analysis, research and track competitor SEO metrics (ranks, content, social media exposure) to stay one step ahead of the competition
• Web Content Production: liaise with content writers and graphic designers to coordinate the production of original SEO-optimized content to include strategic key phrase placement within compelling copy that maximizes opportunities for indexing, ranking, click-through, and conversion
• Promotional offers coordination: implement different strategies in collaboration with the other departments
• Keep abreast of industry developments and research what new in the industry
Required education, skills and experience
• University degree in Marketing, Web Design/ Development, IT or other related field
• 4+ years of SEO and SEM experience managing budget and providing ROI reports
• Expert knowledge of white-hat and grey SEO best practices (after panda)
• A complete understanding of search engine trends and search engine algorithms
• Understanding of the principles of SEO best practices
• Keyword research, Link analysis and Page level optimization techniques
• Good to expert knowledge of ecommerce marketing
• Knowledge of site architecture and website usability
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to communicate internally - via phone or email
• Analytical thinker - able to come up with solutions --- Problem solver.
• Quick learner - self motivated and able to multi task on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Asset: Graphic design (proficiency in Adobe Suite) and coding ability (HTML, CSS)
• Asset: Knowledge of SMS marketing and offer management experience
• Asset: Experience in writing search engine friendly copy
